Got the problem years ago. Now using 0 lights and have perfect quality. Best lifehack = get a DSLR cam. I got the Sony a7 m3. No more lights, no more eye stress. Best cam !
That sounds like a hella expensive camera though? I can't really justify spending a lot of money on a camera

You do not have to. Older camera with a big sensor (fullframe) and a good manual lens will do. As long as the camera can do 1080p 30fps you good. The lens will cost more, you need something like a 12mm f1.4 prime. This is what will capture the most light. Used - 700$ or more.
