I grew up playing games like Ultima Online, WoW, GW/2, Aion.. I've basically just about tried every MMO that was released in the early 2000s as well but NOTHING ever came close to the feel of Ultima Online / EQ2 / Lineage The systems AoC has in place seem so incredibly promising
I agree with everything said about Ashes, are you however not the slightest optimistic for Shadowlands as that is the closest around the corner?
It's not that I'm not optimistic.. It's that I'm not a big fan of the aesthetic, feel, or play of retail WoW anymore. Not to mention I've been let down SO many times with WoW expansions and the direction they've taken the game. Sure I might try it for a week or two.. but ya
Yeah these are very valid points, watching a lil playthrough of Ashes gave me the nostalgic feeling of Lineage II and I heard that the inventor was a big fan of that game and I as a child used to watch my uncle do castle sieges in that game with hundreds of people :D
wows direction is dead, there’s no passion, and has one of the most pathetic community engagements of any company to likely ever exist of this size. Anyone still playing is genuinely stockholmed or holding onto relevence imo
