If you were to be terminally ill and they give you 1-2 years, but then you're asked by a family member to get a second opinion from the doctors. Would you do it or would you rather live these 1-2 years, with the chances of it being longer, or the risk of it being shorter?

The knowing part is ALWAYS better than the not knowing part. You can only live long enough on lies you tell yourself and hope which ultimately collapses. There are so many cases though where people have outlived doctors estimation which makes me think of a specific one 1/2
