Okay I'm having a very important debate right now and I need you guys to help me out with this one. Is it considered 'Spending time with someone' if you're playing games with that person over the internet or do you need to be physically present?

You can even be in the same physical room w/someone all day but not feel connected or close to them at all. So for people whose love languages are "quality time" it can be difficult being apart from the significant other. It all about communication and compromise
I definitely hear you and that's a more philosophical answer to the question, I just needed people to agree with me that you by definition SPEND time with someone even though it's virtually in a game :D
