I would consider it spending time with someone if we're gaming. After all, I enjoy doing 3's with my internet friends more than I do going out with my real life friends :/
Okay I'm having a very important debate right now and I need you guys to help me out with this one. Is it considered 'Spending time with someone' if you're playing games with that person over the internet or do you need to be physically present?

I personally feel like if you're playing games together and enjoying eachother's company it's definitely spending time together whether its in person or not :D

Hahaha I love how it sounds like you've had a serious discussion about this, and I think the meaning of it becomes different when you're apart from each other rather than in person
