55 gives you 1 major and 2 minor essences but at level 35 u unlock 1 major which gives you 1 minor too. Also blizz is boosting all necks too 35 and increasing the amount of AP u get from everything

So I'll have to grind 55 on all toons to not be at a distadvantage?

neck level 35 gives u the the active ability essence and if u are not level 35 u will get that automaticly from blizzard :)
