Imagine if Venezuelans fought back. Citizens launch their own cryptocurrency, giving coins to all families. Verification done by third party, maybe in US & staffed by volunteers. You win by replacing a dictator's currency with one for your people. Fight.

Problem is, the State has guns and writes laws. Venezuelans have tried for decades to rely on the US dollar, now Bitcoin. And there would be a lot more misery without such stores of value. But the State still makes it as hard as possible for people to scape its yoke.

Yes those are problems but their not unconquerable. Bitcoin isn't scalable enough & these people have nothing. So a new coin needs to be airdropped. Anyone with cellphone can use it. After coin is on an exchange real money is involved. Financial incentives drive adoption.

Might be interesting if
#Bitcoin didn't exist, which it does, so this is nonsense -
Bitcoin works great for savings. Ideal for a core currency. However there's two problems. First these people have nothing, their starving. Second Bitcoin isn't scalable enough, yet.
