We have lobbyists who claim to be Press. They are fabricating many false narratives, sometimes fed by bureaucrats, to manipulate public opinion. This is the crisis I see in regards to your vague claim "threats to US democracy" Seems no good faith here.https://mobile.twitter.com/AriDavidPaul/status/1038130439897137153 …

Your argument is that lobbyists manipulate be the public into wanting impeachment? So...disregard the will of the people because the voters have been manipulated? Both the pro-Trump and pro-impeachment arguments have the identical dynamic of claiming manipulation of voters.

No. The word Press we associate with truth. The word lobbyist highlights the bias making arguments non-persuasive. Describing things as they are inoculates

I honestly don’t understand this post at all or how it relates to mine. We know press is always biased and imperfect and that can vary in degrees. What does that have to do with preferring the will of the people’s elected officials when they support Trump vs impeaching Trump?

So many assumptions in your post that I just said no. And highlighted the issue . We have lobbyists, not Press, who align narratives around some lose facts. Again when these lobbyists are coordinating narratives with unelected officials to remove a president it's an issue.

Absolutely. I like neither lobby group. (especially despise the neo-cons) The deal with Trump. Objectively, he is the first peace candidate we've elected in 21st century. Wars need to stop death toll has been massive. And there's risk for larger tail events.

Objectively he’s the first president to threaten nuclear war on Twitter. Strange way of doing peace.

Rough words, yet the results are broadly peaceful. Secession of Syrian regime change efforts, and N. Korea deal. Obama spoke beautifully while engaging in atrocities. Libyan war, and CIA torture, even prosecuted the whistle blower.

Must be one of those paradoxical things where smart, calm, well spoken people are actually psychopathic monsters and those who act like belligerent sociopathic narcissists are going to bring world peace. Your optimism is commendable sir.

Simply actions over words. The terrifying monsters tend to be driven by the best of intentions. The piety makes them relentless.

I think I caused nick to block me because of this conversation. I am very sad because I think the world of his work. It’s stupid that we have to block people we disagree with politically or because we value different things (morals etc). I hope someone can forward this to him.
