Hey what's a better gender neutral term for people being dressed up and/or hosting at booths? Do we have any that's actually in use? Host?
Host is absolutely not gender neutral but used for males only. Hence why there is a female version of the word: Hostess. Sry

Absolutely. I don't think I ever heard the male German version of that one be used. The words we use are telling.

Yeah unfortunately in German 'Hostess' is really the only one I've heard used but that's probably a separate issue.

Apparently it depends on the culture and situation. Hostess def carries meanings that Host doesn't.
