If you had a pet who died.. how long would you wait to get a new one? I know it all depends on your life situation and so on. And it should always be about the well-being of the pet before yourself.

I had even gotten used to living without a pet here in Poland, but since my cat in Norway just died I've been looking at ads. I know it's reactionary and I wouldn't jump into anything.

It's just, I've lost two cats in the last year now, first one I got at 19 and then it stayed at my mom's when I moved to Oslo at 24 (it was an outdoors cat), last fall it walked out the door and never came back. And then now the one I had in Oslo from 26 until now.

As long as you can juggle work/travel with the needs of the animal there's no restrictions on time afaik? If you want some company, go get some company.

Which was what was stopping me. But then someone at work is trying to enable me. Telling me to get two so they can entertain eachother, and then that they can catsit whenever I travel. (That person books most of my travels so they know how much it is.)
