    👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 this is so well said! Women in Islam are made to be responsible for male predatory behaviour, if you don’t completely hide yourself, cover all your beauty. Don’t wear heels, perfume, make up, colourful clothes then it’s the victims fault.

    You're trying to shut them down by claiming "bigotry." The issue about hijab is a valid point of discussion and should be talked about openly. Bring your argument instead of trying to shut down legitimate discussion by throwing accusations of bigotry.

    How can a religious imposition be a choice. One might submit or acquiesce to the hijab but choice is diff. There must be corresponding right not to wear it or remove it without consequences to be real choice

    I’m estranged from my family and community here because of my decision to not marry off and live a life I didn’t want. It’s exhilarating wearing whatever I choose and living life by my own terms.I’m not being abused anymore. Life’s good.

    Hijab was created by ancient men as an oppressive tool to keep their "goods" wrapped-up for the right buyer. It's a misogynistic concept. In some countries it is forced by laws, in most others it is pressured by conservative society.
