I have never felt more abandoned in my entire life than I did these past few weeks.
Abandoned by my employer.
Abandoned by nations and embassies.
Abandoned by media.
Abandoned by humanitarian organizations.
Abandoned by the world.
This is our sad reality as #Sudan-ese people.

Finally reached my family. My sister said “this is the worst day of her life”. At the border, we’re being treated horribly and the Egyptian officers are refusing service and picking fights, as they are understaffed and overwhelmed.

They tried to ask the Red Crescent for help, requested a wheelchair for my father as it’s really hot and chaotic and what he’s enduring is beyond his physical capacity. They told them there are no wheelchairs available. Even the drinking water is hot.
