As a federal prosecutor I was taught to pursue obstruction of justice cases with zeal because if obstruction goes unchecked our whole justice system is at risk. If we let the POTUS get away with obstruction, what message do we send to criminals, prosecutors & juries?

Important reminder. Executive Privilege not absolute. It only applies to certain types/forms of communication & even then can be outweighed by strong public interest in investigating crimes & public corruption as ⁦⁩ points out.

“It’s been interesting because in some ways we’ve been doing all this big important stuff, & we’ve had a lot of running room to do it,” Mr. Panuccio said in a WSJ interview. Translation: while you were all focused on Russia we got away with a lot of other stuff you wouldn’t like.

Robert E. Lee owned 200 slaves (which he famously tortured) then led a rebellion to extend slavery which killed 620,000 people. Saying you're not a racist, you just love Robert E. Lee is like saying you're not an antisemite, you just love Hitler.

Exactly. Muller Reporr - No criminal conspiracy (under very deferential standard). Plenty of collusion.

Today Rod Rosenstein had the nerve to quote Trump on the rule of law. Rod Rosenstein is not a strong man. He is not a leader. He is merely a survivor in an administration that has NO respect for the rule of law.

It’s not that “disagree” with Mueller in finding no criminal conspiracy. They see evidence that, outside the narrow criminal context Mueller used, clearly establish collusion. Can accept what Mueller did & still think that.

Ummm, RR quotes Trump in explaining the rule of law (yes you read that right): “As President Trump pointed out, ‘we govern ourselves in accordance with the rule of law rather [than] the whims of an elite few or the dictates of collective will.’” What?!
