Men are 50% of each child. They SHOULD pay, no matter the circumstance. Medical bills are part of it, no matter what. If women can’t decide pregnancy isn’t for them, men shouldn’t decide the women they impregnated isn’t for them. Men do not get off Scott-free.
-
U are right and since we are 50% of the child we should have 50% of the custody also right? Meaning we should get joint custody.

-
Sure! Convince a family judge. In be meantime, any woman who decided children weren’t for her may be glad to give you 100%! What more could you ask for?
-
50% medical bills, 100% custody... THATS what men should be willing to take on. THATS what’s required, and that’s what it takes. Don’t force it on anyone else if you’re not willing to take it on yourself.

I have always said that if men were able to birth babies, there would be an abortion clinic on every corner.
-
With drive-thru windows for the ones too lazy to get out of their cars.
-
We would have punch cards, fifth abortion is free.
-
I was thinking every 11th but I like that deal even better

If a women dies in mandated childbirth the father (and all the legislators and governors) should be charged with murder.

Since the U.S. has the highest maternal death rate in the industrialized world, this would have an impact. Terminal term-limits. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maternal_mortality_in_the_United_States … (Alabama has the highest infant mortality in the country. I suspect they underreport maternal deaths.)pic.twitter.com/6Jo7hbw79j

Seriously. My pregnancy with my son, his premature birth, NICU stay, and first year of life surpassed $1 million. Our share was about $50K. That didn’t include his super expensive preemie formula, either.
-
I can't comprehend that. We never see a bill.

-
That is amazing.
-
Scary thing is that there are those who want our medical to go private or a portion of. I've had heart surgery and part of the genetic arythmia clinic. I would never see that of I had to pay. I now know my son is ok and never had to pay.
-
I'd be unable to get coverage for serious issues. I'd be unable to afford to get treatment therefore I'd be unable to work. Good times

I LOVE this. Also... men shouldn’t be allowed to get so far behind before something happens to them. I’ve seen people owe thousands of dollars out walking around making more babies and not paying for any of them. Let’s make these men more responsible.
-
Since we’ve established loss of body autonomy as A-OK, I propose that we enforce paternity payments AND save more beating hearts by forcing these men to sell their extra blood, marrow, liver bits, and extra kidney to medicine as needed. It’s all about pro-life, after all!
-
I mean, if we’re establishing that a person can be forced to give up the use of their body when a “life” is at stake, let’s go ALL the way.
-
Think of all the lives that could be saved: People die from lack of marrow donors, blood banks beg for donations during the holidays, folks on dialysis, and those needing a new liver. All lives in danger. Payments would then go to support their children. Win/win.
