    A second yellow card for taking too long to take a throw-in in the first half. The ball was out of play for 23 seconds. It took VAR over three minutes to disallow a blatantly offside Switzerland goal. A real miscarriage of justice there. Terrible officiating.

    Fans should not be held as moral arbiters whenever those in power and those scrutinising those in power do not hold those standards. Shady characters are elected at clubs across Europe on similarly disputable pledges. 50+1 model on voting rights the much more desirable outcome.
