    Beyond that, the Rockies might have to make a deeper playoff run than 2017's. Nolan didn't say making the playoffs was important, he said winning championships was important. He wants to be on a team that can make the World Series regularly. If Rox can't deliver, he's gone.

    I'm sure he's happy, but ultimately he only cares if his team wins. The Rox could re-sign both Charlie *and* D.J., but if the Rockies don't win, he's not staying in town. It's that simple with Nolan. And FYI: the Angels were among the 1st teams to aggressively scout Nolan in H.S.

    Think Nolan cares that Blackmon is staying? Or does he need to see a lot more than that to make them contenders vs. what Dodgers, Angels are capable of doing?

    I have the details on Charlie Blackmon's extension: Six years, $108 million with escalators that can take it to $116 million. Deal runs through 2023. Last two years are player options. Limited no-trade clause. via

    A true underdog story. How a team comprised of three 5-star recruits and and six 4-stars and was a 1 seed reached the Final 4 despite having to to travel 160 miles to Wichita and 190 miles to Omaha to get to this point. I can see it now. This has the makings of a 30 for 30.
