Idea to curb plagiarism @TeamYouTube - what if community subtitles paid back 5% ad revenue to the subtitler for plays in their language?
That's a bad idea (for the current subtitle system) Because anybody can claim credit of the subtitles by just editing a little part of them.

Maybe if they change the system to make the owner of the channel to choose their subtitlers it would work I even thought for a while on adding Spanish subtitles for
@MatPatGT's videos and upload them on another channel (without monetizing them) -
Luckily YouTube added the Subtitle option, and when I have spare time I translate some of the older videos Sharing ad revenue isn't a bad idea on paper, but it can be easily exploited if they don't make some fixes.
