Thought we were citing non violent things here. Rape is far more serious than anything Manafort did unless he’s paid to have ppl killed & no one knows. Rapists should get life in prison imo as rapists destroy a mind, not just a body. Stolen innocence, stolen lives! No comparison!
My comparison is that white rich men don’t get what should be the mandatory minimum for serious crimes. Of course it isn’t the same thing, but neither is justice.

Brings me even closer to despair for what I’d (naively) thought our country was about. And now a crooked president in a stolen seat is rigging the judiciary even further in favor or the wealthy and connected.
I agree with your sentiments completely. Despair is a fitting word. As I age, it is getting harder and harder to fight continuing injustices and ongoing corruption presented here. I have 2 young children that unknowingly will me to not give in and do whatever I can.

And Paul Manafort gets 47 months for years of bank fraud, tax evasion and failing to disclose foreign assets. All this after witness tampering and lying to investigators.
