The lies here are just staggering. RAD _hired_ headcount to work on Larrabee! Intel licensed Pixomatic, so Mike & Mike were on it by definition, and then Atman and myself were hired as contractors to work on the project! Then Fabian was _hired_ to work on the project!

This is literally completely false. RAD was never bailed out. This is completely delusional. From the context, I assume that is talking about the fact that Valve co-funded a debugging project with RAD. It was not essential to the company's survival in any way.

Despite RAD having already explained to that they've never been bailed out, he continues to claim RAD was bailed out. What bailout? When did this happen? Who bailed them out? It's nonsense. It is extremely irresponsible to blatantly lie repeatedly to 12k+ followers.

Oh nice I helped work on this on Epics side. The LinuxAArch64 platform for UE! (and in UE5 renamed to LinuxARM64 as AArch64 is not as well known). This platform supports any generic ARM64 CPU, which includes Graviton2 :)

Starting my weekend catching up some news. does a great job interviewing both Gabe and Pierre-Loup ( ) on the Steam Deck... Pierre-Loup does a stellar job in an always tough place - sharing the stage with Gabe. Good stuff all around.

Latest Proton Experimental contains input latency improvements, especially for VSynced games, or GPU-bound games running below 60FPS. The changes affect how the frames are timed at a pretty low level, so it'll need lots of testing to make sure there aren't subtle regressions.

Today marks 5 years since I started working full time on RenderDoc with Valve. That also means it's been my job longer than it was a hobby project (which was for ~4 years). It's been quite a road but it shows no signs of stopping, and there's still plenty to do :)

Then there's this. Every sentence in this is so utterly deranged that it almost comes off as intentionally trolling the reader, like they know they're going to get away with it and there's nothing developers or end users can do about it. From the top: \

Preserving and extending "Right to Repair" is extremely important for the future of computing. If you value independent repair shops, or the right to repair your own devices, consider supporting Louis Rossmann's push for much-needed legislation:
