  5. BUT, I absolutely acknowledge and appreciate the hard work of the Steam store. It has some rough edges but continued to innovate and polish even when not under a lot of direct competition. The new library view, for instance, is very powerful and lovely.

  6. So I look at Epic and go "Ah, this again. Well, at least they're giving away some free games to draw me in along wit the exclusive plays I expected, and I'm sure the storefront will slowly improve over time."

  7. I was also at EA while they rolled out Origin and did effectively the same plays Epic (exclusivity, another storefront and installer, etc.) did, but only with EA titles

  8. Got some great notes on the Epic Store and people disliking it. I think maybe my expectations are different because I remember when Steam was janky as fuck, and when I -HAD- to sign up for it in order to play my store-bought boxed copy of Half Life 2.

I know it's popular to hate on the Epic Games Store (I don't understand why, but whatever), but I have to say their decision to let you remove a game from your wishlist with a single click is so much nicer than Steam's decision to send you to your wishlist and make you search.

Don't anyone doubt for a second that whoever wrote Trump's speech saying Henry Ford had "good bloodlines" knew Henry Ford wrote a pamphlet called "The International Jew: The World's Foremost Problem." This is the gaslit dog whistling this White House does. It's dark, scary stuff.
