When they won in 1840, they were in a hurry to enact their economic agenda. One of their first moves was to remove the House filibuster over the objections of John Quincy Adams and the antislavery wing of the party.

This is very interesting, but there’s no Democrat in congress who can challenge Biden the way Henry Clay challenged Harrison and Tyler. In late 1841 Clay even compelled all but one of Tyler’s cabinet to resign
So far Biden has avoided a fight with the left wing of the party (and has pleasantly surprised some of them). That said, this is still a great article!
