What about those who enthusiastically approved and published these studies? Shall we sent them to The International Court of Justice?

They were the subject of the study itself, so no, that is not a viable line of attack. The best line of attack is that this was not a study on humans but a study on a system, the human science academic peer-review system, that appears to be incredibly corrupt.
-
I’m not suggesting a “line of attack”. They know better than me their line of defense. I’m merely pointing out the absurdity, the hypocrisy, and indeed the corruption of this whole charade.
-
Well, the people who published the studies weren’t the ones knowingly falsifying data. Why would they be punished?
-
The point she’s making is that they knowingly falsify EVERYTHING. That’s why this study happened. If I detect a flaw in your home security, and take nothing, but notify you of the weakness, do you want me arrested?
-
To take the analogy further. This is like knocking on a door, offering to sell fecal matter as decoration, and the home owners happily hanging it throughout their home. Is it the salesperson's fault that the homeowners like hanging shit in their home?
-
Well said. Better than mine. Let’s go with yours.

When you poke the beast, the beast bites back. This beast needs a lot of poking - preferrably with sharp pointed objects

So basically they've decided to validate his conclusions in a way that is more convincing than anything in the study.

In other words: Portland SU is a joke.
-
When I went there we called it “High school with ash trays.” Now it doesn’t even have the ash trays.

@peterboghossian What can I do, as a student at PSU, to support you? -
You can learn what the IRB is and why you need research involving other humans to be reviewed by an ethics board
-
I'm a psych major. Thanks, champ.
-
And which class taught you that you can just ignore the IRB if you don't feel like it?
-
How was the IRB violated in your opinion?
-
No? I'm waiting for you to cite the IRB and your examples from the studies.
