The district neighbors my (former) home district. It's very diverse, borders Mexico, and had a down-to-the-wire finish last year. I could very well see Gina Ortiz-Jones winning easily next year. I don't think this necessarily means Texas's 38 electoral votes (for now) are open.

The problem is that many of the fleeing Repubs are somewhat moderate and/or have been critical of Trump. In the red states, I'm afraid they'll be replaced by reps even more in step with Trump.
