IT Pros: I created a survey on Group Policy Preferences Drive Map (the alternative to logon script SMB share mapping). It's very short, anonymous, & will help us focus on your future

From my reading (and I am NOT an expert on MDM) you can deploy logon scripts through Intune. I know that's not exactly what you're looking for. I'd love to see this kind of option native to Intune

There isn't a native Windows MDM setting for drive mapping, but there are Drive Mapping ADMX files from the community and we support importing ADMX to your Intune tenant.
Normally I'd say leave it on prem and keep it in GP when you go AADJ/MDM only, but Mapped drive continues to be something folks ask for. If you'd like to share reasons, I'm all ears 👂

There are so so so many things that are drastically easier in Group Policy than in Intune. It's a primary reason I don't want to move our primary desktops to Azure AD.
I've reluctantly joined all our laptops to Azure AD, but I hate every second I have to use Intune.
