With such a high level of incompetence and gross negligence, and with his own party parliamentary group asking for her removal, why does President continue to have his confidence in Minister ?

A few ideas to change our community for the better. 1. Disclose all transactions related to MMPRC corruption, and co-operate to prosecute the staff involved. 2. Cancel all administrative/interest fees associated with student loans and Liu loans. 3. Reduce housing loan interest.

Just sent an email that effectively makes me unemployed in about a month. Unemployment. This should be interesting.

I don't know ... maybe scrutinise the budget that the finance minister submits. Maybe ask him on the funds to improve the readiness of our health sector. Maybe question the govt. on allocation of funds to the bridge instead of to better healthcare. Introduce legislation maybe ...

The Trump-Netanyahu peace plan is reminiscent of the apartheid Bantustan policy. It is wrong in every way.

Maybe not. I still think we should re-think the existing modality.

At some point in time, we would need to ask if the current modality is sustainable. And, whether it is even effective. Is representation better achieved with just increasing the number of councilors?

When I first imagined decentralisation, it was an arrangement whereby the raakaafu committees would be elected, and legally empowered, with councillors not as full time officials, but as a decision making body, with day to day running supported by a strengthened civil service.

Perhaps we should get rid of this whole avashu system and redraw electoral boundaries based on resident population with safeguards to avoid gerrymandering. Democratising space ... in a literal sense.

Even if 'avashu vaadhaverikan' is a cultural thing, there are times we should leave some cultural things where they belong. In the past. Especially if it is used to maintain a certain status quo that has exclusivity ridden undertones.

To be honest I don't care if my representative is called 'Henveyru-Uthuru' or 'Dhaairaa-noonu' membaru. I care about what they do to make the city live-able for all.

I'm more concerned that residents that have lived all their life here, or have been forced to move to Male' do not get a vote in deciding how the city will be run.

Great. But, didn't continue its support to a then candidate (now MP) who had (has) strong allegations of domestic violence and abuse.

This is HPA mandate, no? Immigration should be concerned about slave labour and exploitation practices but of course, you can't do that while operating out of mahujan pockets.

What's Immigration doing making a video with dramatic background music about food hygiene? Wouldn't this be a job for HPA anyway? All this does is play into the xenophobic narrative. The problem isn't expat workers, it's the employers forcing them to work in such conditions.
