The Italian Mafia is regretted. Yakuza is ashamed. Drug lords in Brazil have fallen in tears. You did the job, Microsoft. Take your golden star and wash your hands. Dinner is served.

Why can't we have both?
-
Because the big companies are now in the business of telling us what we can and cannot do.
-
Yes, the private company that makes a product you choose to use making a decision about their own product is "telling you what you can and cannot do." The tyranny! You're such a victim! Build your own fucking OS if you want a cartoon gun to look different.

What's next? Taking guns out of video games? Cancelling Battlegrounds? Halo? Call of Duty? I'm just saying this whole gun issue has gone crazy!
-
Im looking forward to levelling up my pineapple that I use to throw at people in "Call of Duty: Vegan 2"

If you want a water gun emoji, then propose one, but don't mis-use the existing gun emoji.
-
The existing gun emoji was changed to a toy gun in the latest Unicode update.
-
Really? I must have missed that memo.
-
Easy to miss a memo that never existed. https://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/Unicode-11.0/U110-1F300.pdf …pic.twitter.com/FdzrOqNruF

hmm must of read that somewhere. my bad, it's just for consistency then
-
Unicode's example emoji glyphs and annotations are descriptive, however. They've changed both based on vendor usage before. It is entirely possible with all the vendors switching to a squirt gun they will add " = squirt gun on most platforms" in 12.0pic.twitter.com/8TBmPg6LQx

That would be extremely unfortunate.
