How many games are supported with Remote Play?
-
All PS4 games support it
-
Console to PC streaming has been available for both consoles since 2014. This is totally different outside of your local home network. For example, you can access your games library from a device at work or out of town, etc.
-
Yeah you can do it if you have a PSVita 3G (probably doesn't work great) or if you use your 4G data with your laptop etc as there's a Remote Play app for Windows and macOS. There is a Android app but it's limited to Sony Xperia devices which they need to change.
-
Just to make sure we're on the same page here: this is cloud gaming. You won't need to boot your console to play. Just use a phone or tablet with or without a controller. No PS vitas required, no remote play apps, no particular equipment. Just play your games everywhere.
-
There’s the rub. You technically don’t even need to own an Xbox anymore to play your games.
-
Good. Play their games, that's what Microsoft wants. And then continue to be restricted to ONE device for your PS4 games

It’s Becoming more and more less reason to own or buy any future Xbox hardware.
-
I don't think this is a significant reason why not to buy any future Xbox hardware, especially when it's streaming.
-
why buy any future Xbox hardware when you will be able to play Xbox games on mobile phones!!
-
Data-caps/slow internet speeds
-
Just play at home on your mobile phone and use your own WiFi.
-
the cloud games will be limited in graphics snd resolution. The next physical xbox will be much more powerful

i love you guys at microsoft....but this cloudgaming crap you can throw right out on the garbage....i want MY hardware in MY house with MY games on a DISC.
-
sure...since "yesterday everything was better" got to do with crap internet connections throughout europe that would not be remotely capable of letting the service run without problems. even with my 100mbit Line PS Now was laggy...and ofc internet outage is no thing...
-
To be fair, PSN Now is bad Service. Sure it's the same idea...but Sony can't do what Microsoft can do
