Does anyone have recommendations for poets who are active on Twitter? This might sound silly but I think it'd be really neat to be able to start permission-to-set-text conversations via DM instead of emailing publishing houses and never hearing back.

Just share your work. You don’t need a publisher’s permission.

Since composers get royalties from performances, reprint texts in scores and program notes, and sometimes make money from publishing scores, it's usually not covered under fair use. And some publishers/poets/estates are pretty litigious.

Obviously, I’m just reflecting on my craft. Professional music is a very different arena about which I know nothing.
