Does anyone have recommendations for poets who are active on Twitter? This might sound silly but I think it'd be really neat to be able to start permission-to-set-text conversations via DM instead of emailing publishing houses and never hearing back.

Since composers get royalties from performances, reprint texts in scores and program notes, and sometimes make money from publishing scores, it's usually not covered under fair use. And some publishers/poets/estates are pretty litigious.

I mean, if someone's going to make money (albeit probably not much money) from your creative work, wouldn't you want to know and possibly get a cut? I know I would if, say, a film director wanted to use one of my works as a score.
