Young me was a jerk, preemptively lashing out, all teeth and claws. I decided, that before that scared beast will try and kill me, I stop it.

Love this! I wrote a blog post once about how the young me was looking out the window of my apartment at the older me in the parking lot and vice versa. It was something I really imagined when I recently drove by my college apartment.(I lived there in 1980.) I should repost it.

Your older self wasn’t planning some horrible revenge due to your younger poor decisions?

No! It was the paradox of younger self wanting to get married and have kids and the older self having done that, wanting to go back to youth.

Youth is, as they say, wasted on the young. But how else can we gain the experience.
