True story: I almost met a highly-esteemed bone doctor named Dr. Bone. I don't know how to approach conveniently-named fictional characters anymore. Doc Ock is more realistic than real life...

That's wonderful. I'm sure he spends lots of time insisting, "I'm an orthopaedist, not a 'Bone Doctor'" and people smile and say, "Sure, Dr. Bone. Sure." On the other hand, I'm now worried my forthcoming line of erotic novels are libelous. But you take the bitter with the sweet.

When I was at hospital one time I went past an office and the sign on the door said Dr Bocter. Sadly was in the wrong department for him to have been a proctologist
-
He should teach at a med school so he can be an exam proctor.
-
If I may add to this, I had family that worked in the O.R. alongside a neurologist named Dr. Noodleman. Sometimes I think these people enter the professions they do on purpose.

My old roommate answered phones in the IT dept of University of San Francisco (USF) and tried to log in to the account of an alum who called about his transcripts. The ID didn't exist. He insisted he was a USF alum. Turns out, his USF was University of South Florida. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
That sounds about right.

What about George Mason?
-
Somehow, that one never came up. Possibly because it's in Virginia and has a different area code, so it's a little more obvious.
