We named the ancient ages after what they used as weapons: Stone, Bronze, Iron. The ancients were honest about their tools. We pretend the Ages of Exploration, Enlightenment, or Industry were about something else, but the dead know better. And the Information Age is no different.

Well yeah, it's not like I thought I was unique in having that insight, heh. Manipulation of information and the dissemination of false information are major issues online now. It was predicted that would happen in the 80s though, and the comp sci experts were ignored.
