The history of pop music is a history of borrowing/blending/appropriation. I think it's good to be aware and feel the conflict.

The irony here is beautifully stunning. A "Braves" game, the inevitable video montage playing tribute to Willie Mays, and the bastardization of a traditional slave song while thousands of fans do the tomahawk chop. Melting pot indeed.
