The tattoo read "I left my hart in Montana." It wasn't a typo. She'd grown up with a pet deer named Albert and she missed him very much. But that wasn't the point. The tattoo was a filter, dividing the world neatly into people who saw a story and people who saw a mistake.

Thank you. English is not my first language and I just learned what "hart" means. I support Tottenham Hotspur for over 30 years and the team stadium name, before they demolished it, to build a new one, was White Hart lane...

It's a somewhat old fashioned word. A lot of native English speakers wouldn't know it either, unless they spent a lot of time outside or with the King James translation of the Bible.
