  3. Should be rephrased as *potential* side effects when people are left without access to evidence-based obesity medical care. Minimal risk of these occurring (except wt regain & cycling) when provided w/ medically supervised, compassionate, comprehensive, and intensive intervention

    Our manuscript shows very specific areas in which medical schools are deficient in which is no surprise. However the fact that medical schools aren’t prioritizing obesity education and creating an unprepared future physician generation is astonishing.

  10. Today we did our grocery store tour w/ teens in our healthy living program. So grateful to have an amazing team of students including & the Cardel Lab research coordinator @dmillz2010 there through it all. Special helper was my 5yo who attended her 1st session❤️

  17. 81 teens with severe who received were compared to matched controls w/out surgery. Patients in the surgery group had better self-esteem 5 years out, otherwise patients in both groups had mental health problems at similar rates.
