Some, maybe most, would say that how he and others like him are in front of me is the real act. I just don’t believe that. I have made too many good friends in NC who just happen to be Republicans to believe that to be the case. Who I see is the only part that seems genuine.

Sure, you can call me naive (and many do), but no matter. If we lose our ability to believe that there is still good in people, what’s the point? I’ll always seek the best in people I’m around, because that’s what my Dad would do. He’s the best person I know.

I say all of this not to single out
@DallasWoodhouse, but to use him as an example of what I really hope to be a symptom of what’s wrong with the@GOP today. Not the cause. There are good people in that party, a lot of them in NC. I refuse to believe they really condone this.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likesShow this thread -
Many are put into this position for business reasons, like professional or elected politics. Some are in it because they believe that POTUS will be best for a particular issue that’s important to them. Many of those issues are the ones I challenge them on every day.

But at what point do they stop being the people they *think* they *have* to be, and start being the people they *know* they *should* to be? At what point do they stand up and say “no more”? At what point is
@realDonaldTrump and what he stands for just too much?2 replies 0 retweets 1 likeShow this thread -

Maybe I’m missing something, but it certainly looks like that tear gas canisters was freshly deployed, which would explain the folks being shown running away, AND the fact that some might not have noticed yet.

When will people understand our country is a sovereign nation? When will people start accepting asylum from the other countries they travelled through? When will people stop bringing children when committing illegal acts?

Re-reading this and am even more floored by your vilification of mothers trying to give their kids a better life. For a party that places such an emphasis on faith in God, a God I pray to every day, it makes me wonder: are we talking to the same dude?

If they were truly trying to give their children a better life, they'd would've applied for asylum in the other countries they traveled through
