    A drop of 2%. If you check the Gallup data, the drop has actually been from 31% just after the inauguration to 26% most recently, which is a 16% decline.

    The story said 2% not 15%.

    This story makes a big deal of rising support among Republicans for Trump, which is surely noteworthy. But only in the 33rd graf does it hint at the fact that the number of Republicans has fallen nearly 15% since his inauguration per Gallup

    I’m actually saying something much different: language is what tells the truth.

    I'm late, but I find it disturbing that Michael Wolff seems to imply that stylish prose and the truth—not the spirit of the truth, but the actual facts of the matter—cannot coexist. That you have to sacrifice the latter in order to realize the former.
