On April 17, 2020, President Trump tweeted support for reopening. Then, on April 22, 2020, President Trump criticized Brian Kemp for reopening. Then, on April 30, 2020, President Trump criticized Sweden for staying open. Too many such cases. Stop trying to gaslight us.

While @realDonaldTrump was putting himself at the heart of the lockdown rebellion, people in California and Florida were being arrested for going to the beaches. See below from April 17th, 2020. Don’t listen to the revisionists!

It’s going to be an absolute joy to watch all the outlets who think Trump should not be listened to, hang on every word he says about DeSantis

Trump: Florida was actually closed for a great, long period of time. You remember he closed the beaches and everything else. You know, they’re trying to rewrite history

Also: Dems & their allies screamed bloody murder about all of the scientifically-sound reopening decisions (schools especially), filing lawsuits. They demanded much longer, very harmful closures, mandates & restrictions. This pro-Trump “rapid response” is VERY telling.

🚨👀 So this person is rushing to affirm Trump’s nonsense attack against DeSantis for supposedly closing down FL beaches. I assumed it was a hardcore Trump fan. Nope… …it’s someone else highly invested in helping Trump attack DeSantis: The Democrats’ rapid response director!🤔

RDS: You subcontracted out your leadership to Fauci, retreated as our cities burned, cost us the Senate, and crashed our midterm against the worst President of our lifetimes with your terrible endorsements. I held the line and won Florida by 20 points. Leadership matters. Trump:

Favorite moment at today’s FedSoc Western Chps conference? Responding to comment about progressive prosecutors being elected w/ heavy campaign spending, Brennan Ctr’s LB Eisen noted that spending was important to inform voters and level playing field for unknown candidates.

The Alzheimer’s Association literally partnered with an assisted suicide group that calls dementia a “fate worse than death,” and which wants to make euthanasia “equitably” available to minorities. That partnership has now ended, 24 hours after it was exposed in .

"Downtown Washington is a wounded rendition of its once robust self...Many streets at the city’s core are pocked by vacant storefronts, moribund sidewalks & offices that, even on the busiest days, are just over half occupied." Good story:

you can prefer Banks to your hearts content but to call Daniels a "RINO" is just a cope Daniels signed an anti-abortion bill, made right to work a thing in Indiana, prohibited illegals from receiving state college tuition and set fines for companies that employed illegals
Quote Tweet
The fact that Democrats want RINO Mitch Daniels to run for Senate gives me more reasons to oppose his campaign. @Jim_Banks needs to win at all costs twitter.com/ArthurSchwartz…

Among other things, liberal historians accepting the 1619 Project’s rehabilitation of the British Empire to own the cons is downright hilarious.
Quote Tweet
Just watched the Hulu 1619 Project's first episode. It leans heavily into the claim that the American Revolution was fought over slavery. Lord Dunmore becomes an "emancipator" in Nikole Hannah-Jones's account, propped up by Woody Holton. Not mentioned: Dunmore was an enslaver.

What’s shameful is that by politicizing the very real threat of foreign information operations on social media with lies, this group made the task far easier for our foes by further eradicating trust in those fighting actual disinformation campaigns.

It's easy to think of a guy who's job title was basically "VP for censorship" as the bad guy but it's funny how often in the Twitter Files that Yoel Roth comes across as being the sensible voice of moderation pushing back against others demanding aggressive censorship.

I was going to say 36% of ppl are insane, but I suspect, as is the case with a lot of polling, that they respond in ways, 1) they think pollsters want to hear 2) they think bolster general partisan and cultural preferences 3) they think make them sound open-minded.

Randi Weingarten became the accidental hero of the school choice movement. Her decision to shut down schools, promote critical race theory, and antagonize parents created the political conditions for legislators to enact universal school choice. World-historical incompetence.
