With all due respect, keep my church out of your campaign

I will speak out against any organization, regardless of tax status, if they're not open to equality for all. It's hard to sit on the sidelines while people who say they're religious but deny God welcomed everyone yet don't follow that principle. #WhyIFight for #LGBTQ rights.

Outrageous ideas like only religions that model themselves on Mainline Protestantism are American enough and deserve freedom to practice their religion

I was raised Christian & have my own personal relationship with God since my experiences with church have been plagued by hypocrisy I stay away. My whole point was that it's hypocritical to call yourself a religion based on God & his teachings but not except everyone.

You’re really not getting my point. It is a well established part of American secularism that the gov’t cannot interfere in matters of doctrine. You’re not showing you respect that
