I will speak out against any organization, regardless of tax status, if they're not open to equality for all. It's hard to sit on the sidelines while people who say they're religious but deny God welcomed everyone yet don't follow that principle. #WhyIFight for #LGBTQ rights.

See, this argument sounds courageous until you realize it means non-Christian religions and immigrant communities don’t have a place in this country unless they become liberal Protestants in everything but name

Outrageous ideas like only religions that model themselves on Mainline Protestantism are American enough and deserve freedom to practice their religion
