I have a hard time understanding how a religion would take up a position that says that only certain people are welcome.

I was raised Christian & have my own personal relationship with God since my experiences with church have been plagued by hypocrisy I stay away. My whole point was that it's hypocritical to call yourself a religion based on God & his teachings but not except everyone.

Christian is a big term. If you don’t have a connection to the United Methodist religion, you should sit this one out. The “people called Methodists” and especially those victimized by the Traditional Plan are going through a lot of hurt and you’re not helping
