That school should lose all funding. The PTA has no right to send that home with elementary kids. What is wrong with these school officials. Fire them all. I'm an educator and I would never give that to my students

One can make the argument that if you're going to not teach students about the truth then you shouldn't be a teacher at all. In that case then you should be fired and not those two educators.

You can cash it in by being statistically less likely to get shot by a cop when you're unarmed. Youre also more likely to get hired for a job if you're equally qualified for it compared to black people. Youre also less likely to get pulled over by cops when youre obaying the law

As for your final statistic. African Americans commit approximately 52% of the homicides in the U.S. while they only make up about 13% of the population. Not being racist, just facts.

And while your presenting us with these facts. What is the percentage of blacks killing blacks compared to those being white out of that 52%. Just wondering.

Over 90% of African Americans homicide victims were killed by other African Americans.

It's almost like when you're segregated into impovrished communities, gangs, drugs and violence come with it.. wait... Who segregated the races? Oh yeah, the white man. Who established laws preventing black from getting jobs, voting, and owning business? The white man.

I'm encouraged to see that our school system is willing to allow discussions around race and racism. Pretending that everything's been fine for all these years is how we ended up where we are today. It takes courage to start the dialogue - kudos to Hunter Elementary!

That was not a dialogue. That was propaganda to incite even more divisiveness. Let children be children. They don't even see color unless an adult points it out.

This PTA is racist against white ppl & is obviously full of ! I am white & I do not feel superior to other races. If I were a parent with a child at this school I would find this letter very offensive! #LiberalismIsAMentalDisorder

You didn't take the time to READ any of this, did you? Learning how not to be a bigot is actually a commendable thing.

I read it & it's sickening. They are trying to make white kids feel bad for being white. A person's race, whatever race they are, is something a person should never have to apologize for!

The idea is not to shame people for being white, it's to generate a conversation by identifying things that a white person might not think about or truly understand on the actual differences non-white people face on a daily basis. If that's offensive, imagine living it.
