Tony Awards news: Just before the June 11 8 p.m. broadcast on CBS, there will be a 90-minute preshow (similar to last year) at which many awards will be announced. This year's 6:30 p.m. preshow will be presented on Pluto TV, which is a free streaming television service.

Tonight I'm at the opening of "Prima Facie," a solo play by @suziemillerwriter starring Jodie Comer. Earlier this month in London, the show won the Olivier Awards for best new play and best actress.

Todd Haimes, who rebuilt Roundabout Theater Company following a bankruptcy filing and led it for four decades, died today. Roundabout, which presents work on and off Broadway, is one of the nation’s largest and most successful nonprofit theaters.

The performance was preceded by a red carpet at which current and former members of the cast talked with the media about what the show, and its closing, meant to them. And after the final bows, there was a large party at the Metropolitan Club.

Last night was the final Broadway performance of "The Phantom of the Opera." It was wild, with celebrities (Glenn Close and Lin-Manuel Miranda), cosplay (one guy came as the Red Death) and confetti, plus a curtain call for the chandelier. Here's my report:
