        Yes, shortest term as MP by any PM I can think of - Major & Chamberlain both 22 years.

        24 - 1983 - 2007. Kinnock did the same after John Smith elected - MP for 22 years - 1970-92.

      In modern times the shortest parliamentary terms before Cameron were Neville Chamberlain (1918-40) & John Major (1979-2001)
