As a Haitian passport holder, I need a visa to visit essentially every country in the world.
It doesn’t matter if it’s for business or for tourism, Haitians have to go through a gauntlet of immigration appointments, biometrics, approvals, fees & more to do any kind of travel.
I want my legacy to be that I made the impossible happen.
That I built cultural bridges around the world through music and created something new.
That I represented my heritage proudly.

Haiti defeated France to gain our independence in 1804, and brought an end to slavery in the country.
The UK didn’t outlaw their slave trade until 3 years later in 1807.
