  2. It's been 27 years today since Pres. Clinton signed the Violence Against Women Act into law. We need to reauthorize it and I'm fighting for that in the Senate.

20 years ago today our country was changed forever. Today we remember and honor all those lost on September 11, 2001, including the many first responders who died on that day and in the years since. I wish their families peace today.

Help us pass it today by asking your Senator to support it too. And if you or your loved one needs urgent help, call the National Suicide Prevention Hotline: 800-273-8255. 2/2

Oh. People prefer we invest in them rather than two wars in the Middle East that cost $5.6 trillion and tax cuts for the richest people reaching almost $5 trillion? We should keep doing big stuff for the American people.

Today is the International Day of Clean Air, something we've been missing a lot of in Colorado this summer. My Outdoor Restoration Partnership Act would mitigate the effects of climate change, including wildfires, by managing forests while creating millions of jobs.

Today, we honor the leaders of the labor movement whose work spans generations and is critical to creating an economy that works for everyone not just a few at the top. I'll never stop fighting to create jobs, protect our workers, and train and prepare the next generation.
