I think I was 8 years old when I was told that I was to assume that EVERY and ANY gun is loaded always, and never to point a gun at someone.

With my dad as a police officer, my mom made us take gun safety courses. We were not allowed near guns unless we were at the range with our father. We never played with them. We never shot them w/o supervision. We respected them.
