1) Many people act based on the (explicit or implicit) assumption that all knowledge is written down *somewhere* 2) I believe that assumption is very false Tweeting this because it's an example of a philosophical debate that has a ton of practical consequences.
Very reminiscent of Borges's story "Library of Babel": "When it was proclaimed that the Library contained all books, the first impression was one of extravagant happiness. All men felt themselves to be the masters of an intact and secret treasure..."
