Just attended a local #climatestrike rally - if you can't strike, take one climate action today and join in spirit!
Call a representative and tell them you care about climate action or carbon pricing policies.

Further thoughts on the messaging / mood of the movement: Seems like the main assumption is that children and grandchildren struggling for their future is a bulletproof message / rallying point. Upon further investigation, it's probably widening the chasm between the sides.

However, it can be seen as antithetical to conservative moral tastes for loyalty and respect for authority. "Respect the children's right to the future" becomes "A bunch of uppity brats are trying to tell their grandparent how to live? Who the hell do they think is in charge?"

The climate movement seems torn on whether or not to disavow the significant conservative contingent of the population as a lost cause, or try to phrase things in a way that is palatable for them.

Looks like we're leaning more to abandoning the idea of crafting messages for the other side, hoping instead that the news / reality will wake them up. I wonder if that will take too long. But sometimes, you can't waste time trying to convince someone out of delusion either.
