Anyone heard of Kazimirz Dabrowski's positive disintegration model of development? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Positive_disintegration … It's fascinating—closest thing I've seen to this in models is from Kegan's Evolving Self. (1/3)

In later chapters he describes how depression and self-consuming doubt can be part of the developmental process, but I've never seen a model explicitly centered around ambivalence. (2/3)

Read the Wikipedia and was interesting... Probably important to note that his life seemed like it was nothing short of a trauma whirlwind which probably caused some distortions in his world view as well as the ability to see things others missed.

Also could totally have some good pieces of the story to add without being completely. A dimension that may fit well with other developmental work, but tangential or not a part of other frameworks.

Yes, that’s how I’m looking at it as well. I admire a lot of the existential / therapeutic approach that came from the trauma of WW2, but it is always partial to certain perspectives. Juggling frameworks is always a fun task.
